  • Hello. My name is Sandra Girouard. I began teaching in 1989. I enjoy learning, and I absolutely love helping children learn. I have a Bachelor of Music from Westminster Choir College and a Master of Arts from the College of Education at the University of South Florida. I like to employ a variety of learning activities, including movement, singing, and games. Throughout my career, I've been very lucky to have many teaching experiences. In addition to teaching music, I have served as school-wide instructional technology manager, taught Prek through Grade 12 in both public and private school settings, and have been a peer-mentor in technology to other teachers. I also served as an adjunct at the University of South Florida, teaching elementary education and music education students as well as supervising student teachers. For the past fourteen years, I have been a homeschooling parent. In 2017, I began teaching classes online. I am delighted to work with students all over the world, including North and Central America, the Pacific Islands, Asia, and Europe. I have taught English as a Second Language, Middle and High School Literature, Economics, High School Writing, and Computer Applications classes. I've been lucky to live in many different states in the U.S.A. with my husband and our three sons. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, knitting, and studying Tae Kwon Do. Early next year, I anticipate testing for my second-degree black belt. I look forward to meeting you in the classroom!

  • Colin had a great time in class! He loved the encouraging sound effects and the games to help him practice the notes. Colin can't wait to sign up for more recorder classes. :)
