Simple - just find an activity you like and click "Get Enrolled." If you aren't already registered as a parent you will be prompted to register. Registration is simple and quick.
Before enrolling your child for an online learning experience, review the course details. Our online courses have instructors that will be there to guide your child through lessons at their own pace, offering one-on-one assistance as needed.
Online classes that are one time in nature present little risk. Give it a try and see what those little learners enjoy! If it is a series or course, or a guided homeschool class, parents have to help children with structure to ensure they are ready and will attend scheduled classes and do the required coursework.
Online courses provide self-directed learning experiences from the comfort of your own home - or wherever you have an internet connection! They provide an opportunity for children to interact, live, with an instructor and other children of the same age. The biggest difference is the lack of physical presence, which is the biggest benefit as well.
Enrichment activities can be most anything you can dream up. Some of them are focused on educational, supplemental type classes such as Spanish or math. Others are simply creative projects. And some are exercise or sports based. The idea of enrichment activities is to provide your child a way to engage and learn in a flexible and fun atmosphere, separate from their normal school curriculum.
We only allow children to register for our enrichment activities if they are under 18 years of age. Once a child reaches 18 they will no longer be eligible to enroll in a class. This is the only reason we collect dates of birth.
The maximum number of students in any given class is 25. Most classes will have fewer than this maximum. We find that smaller class sizes are beneficial for children because it gives them the opportunity to interact with the teacher and other students.
As a parent - you just need a video enabled computer, a reliable internet connection, and a child that is ready to learn!
Every Activity Director must have a video capable computer or tablet and a reliable internet connection, plus a great attitude!
At the moment Kids Connected only offers live activities and a guided homeschool program that is also live. No pre-recorded classes are available.
Although Kids Connected is available worldwide to anyone with an internet connection, our initial reach will be mainly in the United States.
