Baking with Friends: Tea Time!

FIVE WEEK CLASS. Ages 6 - 15, Meets once a week on Tuesday, 7:00 - 8:00pm CST. Dates: Jan 19 - Feb 16

Traditional English tea is a light meal composed of three courses: finger sandwiches and savories, followed by scones and spreads, ending with sweets, and served with a pot of tea. In this baking class we will be creating an array of sweet and savory snacks which will explore the finger foods associated with English afternoon tea! Join in with friends and learn about the art of baking and how sharing homemade cuisine can create a special experience. Menu includes savory cheese scones, curried chicken tea sandwiches, orange marmalade muffins, madeleines, lemon bars and more! This class will require the use of ovens, stove tops, and sharp kitchen implements so parental supervision and assistance are recommended. TEACHER: Elizabeth Green

REQUIRED tools: (if you do not have some of these items, consider borrowing from a friend!)
Electric hand mixer or stand mixer with whisk attachment, oven mit, baking sheet, 9x13 baking pan, madeleine cookie pan or mini muffin pan, citrus zester, cupcake pan, measuring cups, measuring spoons, various mixing bowls, spatula, parchment paper, plastic wrap, sauce pan and glass bowl that sits on top, rolling pin, pastry brush, wooden spoon, box grater, wire cooling rack.

Our Activity Directors have made a commitment to forego other opportunities to facilitate the Activity at the appointed time, and have a limited number of spaces to make available to participants. The cancellation policy for this Activity is as follows:

Cancellation 24 hours or less in advance of Activity or no-show. Any activity cancellations 24 hours or less before the start date and time of the Activity or failure to appear at the Activity at the appointed time will result in forfeiture of the consideration paid for the Activity. No refunds or credits will be provided.

Cancellation more than 24 hours before Activity. Activity cancellations more than 24 hours in advance of the start date and time of the Activity will result in a refund in the amount equal to what was paid to Kids Connected for the Activity.
